Erica Dorn is an entrepreneur at heart, which is why she has spent the last decade actively supporting small businesses in the United States. Erica began her microfinance career five years ago as the first Kiva Fellow in the United States, where she successfully launched Kiva.org’s U.S. lending program.  She currently manages the New York Lending team for Accion, a global microfinance institution and the largest non-profit microlender in the United States.  There, she provides capital to hundreds of small businesses, including urban and rural farms, food carts, breweries/distilleries, small food manufacturers, and restaurants.  At Accion, Erica has grown a food and beverage lending program with Sam Adams and created the crowdfunding/microfinance partnership, with Smallknot. Her work with small business has been featured in the New Yorker, Epicurious, and Good Magazine.  She is currently a Leadership participant with Coro New York, Serves on the Board of Directors for Slow Money NYC, and runs a CSA in Brooklyn.
