Associate Director of Business Development at Co-Communications
Katie LeChase is a communications and marketing strategist with nearly a decade of experience working hand-in-hand with organizations to develop overarching communications strategies that engage audiences and move people to action.
Katie is currently developing and implementing PR and marketing strategies and tactics for nonprofit, real estate, education & health care clients at Co-Communications, a full-service PR and marketing firm, after serving as the public relations manager for Rally.org, an online storytelling and crowdfunding platform. At Rally.org, Katie managed day-to-day media relations efforts, executed social media strategies, developed marketing content, prepared the founder for interviews and events, assisted in new business development activities and coached Rally fundraisers on audience engagement tactics.
Prior to joining Rally, Katie was an interim public relations account supervisor at Roberts Communications, where she worked closely with B2B, tech and healthcare clients to craft and implement communications plans. There, she crafted and implemented annual and project-based communications plans, worked closely with thought leaders and niche publication editors to develop bylined articles, and worked with graphic designers to develop communications materials, such as annual reports, presentations, case studies and sell sheets.
Katie spent the first four years of her PR career in the Public Relations Department at University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). She created URMC’s first social media accounts in 2008 and went on to lead an institution-wide approach to social media policy and strategy, in addition to engaging in daily media relations and communications activities for Golisano Children’s Hospital.
